Donald J. Trump is the ultimate definition of the American success story, with his interests in real estate, gaming, entertainment and sports, where he has built a number of world-class golf facilities. His newest golf-related project takes him to Scotland, the home of golf and the country where his mother was born.

Trump International Golf Links, Scotland, featuring two championship-caliber golf course and five-star luxury hotel among other amenities, will be built on a 800 -acre stretch of spectacular sand dunes at Balmedie Beach on Menie Estate in the northeast part of the country.

The project will only strengthen Mr. Trump’s connection to Scotland, where his mother grew up in a simple croft (a small agricultural land unit found in northern Scotland) on the Island of Lewis in Stornoway.

Trump International Golf Links, Scotland will add to Mr. Trump’s portfolio of golf properties, including Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, New York; Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey; Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, California; Trump International Golf Club, Palm Beach County, Florida; and Trump International Golf Club on the island of Canouan in the Grenadines.

In his native New York City, the Trump signature is synonymous with the most prestigious addresses. Among them are the world-renowned Fifth Avenue skyscraper, Trump Tower and the luxury residential buildings at Trump Parc, Trump Palace (the tallest building on the East Side of Manhattan), Trump Plaza, 610 Park Avenue, Trump World Tower and the soon-to-be converted Delmonico Hotel at Park Avenue and 59th Street (Trump Park Avenue).

Through the years, Mr. Trump has owned and sold many great buildings in New York City, including the Plaza Hotel, the St. Moritz Hotel and recently the property beneath the Empire State Building (which allowed the land and lease to be merged for the first time in more than 50 years).

In 1999, the Trump International Hotel and Tower opened its doors to the world. The 52-story, mixed–use super-luxury hotel and residential building stands at the crossroads of Manhattan’s West Side, on Central Park West at Columbus Circle.

Mr. Trump also owns the largest piece of land in New York City -- the former West Side Rail Yards. On this 100-acre parcel, fronting along the Hudson River from 59th Street to 72nd Street, the biggest development approved in New York City Planning Commission history is being built.

In Illinois, Mr. Trump is completing a joint venture with the Chicago Sun-Times to build a 2.6-million square-foot signature skyscraper, one of the biggest in Chicago, on the banks of the Chicago River, directly west of Michigan Avenue (the most prominent site in Chicago).

In the gaming arena, The Trump Organization is one of the world’s largest operators of hotels and casinos. The Trump name stands proudly on three world-class casino hotels in Atlantic City, N.J: The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino on the Boardwalk, the Trump Marina Casino Resort in the Marina District and The Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, home of one of the world’s largest casinos and one of the most luxurious casino-hotels ever built. Additionally, The Trump Casino, located just outside of Chicago in Indiana, is the first casino riverboat among Mr. Trump’s holdings. He holds agreement with the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Luiseno Mission Indians to manage the Trump 29 Casino in Palm Springs, California, his first foray into gaming on the West Coast.

In a departure from his real estate acquisitions, Mr. Trump and the NBC Television Network are partners in the ownership and broadcast rights for the three largest beauty competitions in the world: the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA Pageants.

In January 2004, Mr. Trump joined forces with Mark Burnett Productions and NBC to produce and star in the television reality show, The Apprentice. This quickly became the No. 1 show on television and has made history in ratings and great reviews. Few shows have garnered the worldwide attention The Apprentice has received, from the media as well as educational institutions. An accomplished author, Mr. Trump’s fifth book, How to Get Rich: Big Deals from the Star of The Apprentice, became an immediate bestseller on all lists.
